Handknitten Icelandic sweaters made of Icelandic wool - "lopi" - are extremely popular, never more so than now and not just by visitors. Icelanders wear them because they know that when it comes to dressing for cold weather, only Icelandic wool jumpers do the job.
The sweaters or jumpers are often made of earth-coloured "lopi" but if you prefer them in other colors that’s no problem.
Wool blankets, coats, jackets, scarfs and mittens are also the delight of many guests. You probably won't be able to go shopping in Iceland without losing your heart to some of those things.
